So I actually bought the 4-watt version of this light bulb from a local retailer for a few bucks more than the price of this 1-watt. So my review is actually of the 4-watt version.
The bulb that I have does give off pretty good amount of light, but it is a bit narrower of a beam than the halogen I replaced. Its also that very cool white, not the warmer light I was used to. That being said, though it was a little pricey for a single bulb, it is very energy efficient, and I am willing to put up with a slightly narrower beam, only slightly dimmer than my 50-watt halogen, and the cool white light. I would buy this item again, though hopefully prices will start to drop on LED technology…
