Product Description
This Pharox bulb from Lemnis Lighting offers light quality comparable to that of a traditional 60W light bulb. The Pharox bulb is 90% more energy efficient than an incandescent bulb, and is based on a breakthrough and patented technology that opens the lighting market to LED technology. The warm white lamp sheds a warm white sunset golden color, ideal for creating a warm atmosphere. This bulb is also dimmable. This light works wonderfully well for reading lights and table lamps.

I’m using this bulb to replace one out of 5 incandescents in the light fixture in our breakfast area. On full, this bulb is identical in brightness and color to the 60 watt incandescent bulb across from it.
When dimmed, there is a humming noise, not loud but noticable. I don’t know if this happens with all dimmers or not. Also when dimming, the color is not the same as other incandescents, but it is acceptable. Yes, the base is warm, but not nearly as hot as an incandescents.
This is the best LED bulb I have seen so far.
The only reason I rated it a “4″ was due to the humming noise at some (but not all) dimming positions.

I bought the iPharox Incandescent LED replacement bulb about a month ago from Kuuala for $48.96. So far this is the best LED replacement bulb I have come across thus far. I have tried others and failed. But the Pharox provides the same amount of light and renders the same color from that of your traditional energy hogging warm white incandescent bulb. I have replaced all of my lamps with the pharox as well as all accenting lights (these are great for that), and lights that are pointing down and can’t really tell the difference.
Some people may be comparing the lumen output and may think that due to the difference between the incandescent and the LED that it would not be as bright. The problem is that it is difficult to compare LED’s this way because incandescents shoot light 360 degrees and therefore the light output seems more but it is actually rating light that is not effective. When comparing the effectiveness of the light it is good to compare the lumens/watt output. Pharox is at an efficacy of 60 (lumens/watt) where a traditional bulb would be around 50. I suggest you try one and see for yourself.
I am throughly pleased with the bulb and my efforts to search for an alternative have slowed almost to a stop. Given the lifespan of this bulb, I wont have to change them ever again… what a great investment
Furthermore, my energy costs have been reduced (after changing about 15 of these around the house)albeit a small amount. However it’s hard to tell at this time because the cold has come and the heating costs have gone up and at the same time it’s only been a month. I will monitor the energy savings further and update the post.

The Pharox 6 Watt bulb is about the size of a typical 60 watt bulb, in fact, its even slightly smaller, so it should fit anywhere a regular 60 watt bulb fits. This can’t be said of most compact fluorescent bulbs. When running it gets a bit warm, but not much worse than that.
The light comes on almost instantly, and doesn’t need to “warm up” like many fluorescents. It works great in cold or hot conditions. The majority of the light comes out the top, but a good amount also comes from the sides, so overall, not a bad incandescent replacement. The light color was a bit purple to my eyes, but this tint is not overly noticeable at full brightness. Also to my eyes, maybe equal to about a 50-55 watt bulb. When the bulb is dimmed, it stayed flicker-free and went down to about 35% before it flicked off. When dimmed the white color was retained with a bit more color cast.
The only negative other than the price was a bit of low hum, especially when dimmed, and a slightly off color. The pros are very long life, and really low power and heat.
I’d definitely recommend this bulb in areas where fluorescents don’t fit, where a dimable bulb is needed, or where long life is required, and since they don’t need to warm up when cold, you get full light immediately. Unlike most LED replacement bulbs today, this one really is a good drop-in replacement for a 50-60 watt bulb.

I bought a Pharox III bulb through an Amazon vendor. The size, shape, and mass of the bulb make it a good replacement for a regular bulb. It remains cool while functioning. The beam spread is biased slightly toward the top, but plenty of light spreads around for any application. An excellent bulb, but I dinged it a point because of the light quality- better than cfls I’ve tried, but with a greenish-golden cast. Most people probably wouldn’t notice it (it blends pretty well with incandescents), but it is there.

tried this in a place where had a 75W bulb. the light enitted by this led light I thought was better and easer on the eyes. It’s not good enoff for a large room, but any where you use 75W and down very good. am planing to get some more.

I’ve bought about 16 different types of LED home light bulbs for standard screw in sockets like this one.
This is by far the warmest, brightest, and most omnidirectional of the bunch.
If you buy LED bulbs to replace your standard ones, you know that these three qualities are very hard to find in this market.
Expensive as it may be, this one simply blows anything else I’ve tried away.
The one exception to what I’ve said in this review is that there are a few “floodlight” style bulbs that are brighter than this one, but not in a pleasant warm color like this, not omnidirectional like this one and none of them that I have seen fit into standard inexpensive lamp housings.
I haven’t even tried out the dimming feature, as this is one of very few LED bulbs to offer the ability to use a dimmer switch.
I haven’t heard any humming or noise of any kind, even with my ear pressed against the bulb (yes you can do that, it’s that cool and efficient) but I can’t speak to the possibility that it might make some noise while being dimmed. Most dimmable bulbs do make some noise when being dimmed, and I’m referring here to both compact florescent bulbs and the old hot burning incandescent bulbs, although often the “noise” can only be heard when it is picked up as buzzing or humming RF radio signals on amplified speakers plugged into the same circuit.
Yes I love this LED bulb, and no, I have nothing to do with this company, hopefully they are not too evil, because this is a pretty effusive review, but I’ve spent too much money on LED bulbs that are too dim, too cold looking, or too unidirectional to be useful for everyday household applications. They make great close up worklights and flashlights but most are not great roomlights or even lamplights. This one is just that.
It’s the bulb to buy if you want to demonstrate to an LED sceptic that LED’s don’t just get you 90% or greater savings in electricity use and even more in durability, but that LED bulbs can replace incandescents and compact florescent bulbs achieving similar quality bright, warm, omnidirectional, pleasant and natural looking light, using their existing lamps and fixtures.

Brighter than I expected. I’ve tried a few LED bulbs and the “incandescent equivalent” for most of these bulbs it’s not very accurate, but I must say this bulb is pretty close to the 60 Watt incandescent equivalent stated for it. It acts pretty much like an incandescent bulb (instant on). The only drawback is the cost but if it lasts 10 years and saves us on our electric bill it might be worth it.

Obviously LED lights are the future, but the price is going to have to come down for that to happen. This bulb comes on immediately, and dims just like an incandescent. The dimmable CFLs I have tried produced incredibly irritating flicker when dimmed and also didn’t dim very much, while this dims just like the bulb it will be replacing. Very nicely made and packaged. The one negative is that it produces a background buzz when dimmed–I can’t even hear it, but my wife says it bugs her, so you might find this to be a problem for you depending where you put it.
